January '26 Newsletter

Happy New Year from all of us at Barkly and Meows! As we head into January, we want to thank you for continuing to trust us with your dogs and cats—after 11 years, that support still means the world to us.

Our grooming is already booking well into February, so if your pet is due for a visit, now is the time to grab one of the few remaining January appointments before they’re gone. With that we want to remind those with shedding dogs that those deshedding appointments fill up fast when Spring arrives. Book that deshed appointment now before those big seasonal blowouts begin.

New Year, New Pet? Did your family welcome a new furry companion over the holidays? We’re happy to help to start them off on the right paw with everything you need from food, toys, and nail trims. Get on the books early for full groom spa days.

During the cold weather we want to watch our pets paws and noses. They can get chapped just like people’s lips. Some at home remedies are coconut oil, or pure Shea butter with vitamin E, both will create a water barrier and protect the skin even when your pet licks it. Using it more than once a day is recommended for repairing the skin. For maintenance once a day is sufficient, or after prolonged periods outside. We also sell products for paw protection and they can double as nose protection. Just ask when you come in and we are glad to point you in the right direction.

Thank you again for your continued support,

Jon, Alysa, Rae, and Zephyr
