Happy February!
Is your dog liking or hating the snow outside? We have had both of those over the years. Zephyr doesn't mind it much and will go run hopping through the deeper parts. He will also come inside within 3-5 minutes. We love seeing the different reactions to the snow so if you have any videos or pics of your dog (or any animals), please show us when you stop into the shop next.
Also, due to the weather at the end of last month, we are still trying to catch up our inventory to normal levels. People stocked up before the storm hit and we have had delivery delays at the same time. We are working hard to get all of our shelves stocked back up but it may take another week to do so. If you are wondering if a product is in stock, give us a call before stopping in and we can let you know.
The last thing about the weather is our pets generally stay inside and have less activity when it is this cold outside. If your dog stops readily eating their food, try reducing their portion sizes by 10ish%. Dogs generally start to get hungry when their bodies have used all calories that they have previously eaten. With reduced activity levels their bodies are using less calories so sometimes we need to adjust their portions downward for a while until their appetites return or activity levels return to normal.
Lastly, our grooming department of our store remains busy but we do have available openings before the end of the month. If your dog is in need of a spa day, give us a call and set up an appointment. We would love to pamper your puppy!
We hope to see you soon!
