Happy August!
It has been hot outside and I think we are all starting to feel it. We want to remind everybody that during warm spells our dogs usually eat a little less as their bodies are not working as hard to maintain their internal body temperatures. If your dog starts to refuse their meals, reduce their portion size by about 10% and they should start eating again regularly within a few meals.
Speaking of heat, we would like to draw attention to the Pupsicle by Woof. Pupsicles are a lick toy that you can place pre-made or homemade treats into. These are great summertime toys/ treats as the treats can be frozen for extended exposure time. Zephyr takes about an hour to go through one of the premade treats when they are frozen. It is also a great treat for occupying our dogs for a bit of time if we need to step out of the house or if we need to focus on something important at home. Pupsicles are a great alternative to regular lick mats as the treats are more contained and create next to if not zero mess. The toy itself is dishwasher safe so clean up is a breeze. There are 3 sizes and we have them all in stock!
