Happy May!

We are all loving the weather outside being so nice. Unfortunately most insects feel the same way. We are expecting fleas to be pretty bad this year due to the mild winter this past year. Please make sure to utilize flea and tick medications prior to an outbreak. Some flea medications do not work great at controlling an already active infestation so getting any/all medications rolling in a preventative way is the best advice that we can give.

We do have several Flea/Tick medications in the store but we have recently lost our ability to acquire Seresto Flea Collars through our supply chain. They are still available many places and we still use them for our pets. We had to purchase ours through Amazon this year.

The medications that we have are from Pet Lock Plus, Pet Action, Pet Armor, and Guardian products. The Pet Armor flea collar does last for 6 months and is only $19.99. It has similar ingredients to the Seresto Collars and appears to have a similar effectiveness (according to online reviews). The other companies mostly manufacture generic products in order to offer them for less money. These meds are generic for Frontline Plus, Advantage, and Advantix.

We have been trying to update some of our toy selections over the past few months. We still have most items that we have always carried, we have just added a few more lines of products. The main two are Original Territory and Tall Tails. We have brought in a pretty good variety of both of these company’s toys and we are hoping that they live up to our expectations of them. They appear to be built well and should be super fun for the dogs. Please let us know how things have gone with them if you have purchased any of these toys. Our dogs are simply not great judges of durability as neither one of them are chewers or destroyers.

We Hope to see you all soon!
